About Storyland Field
An independent editorial project covering the design and storytelling of European theme parks.
What we are
Storyland Field is a small independent editorial publication focused on the documentary study of park storytelling, immersive land design, and how narrative theming shapes the guest experience in European theme parks. It is not affiliated with any park operator, entertainment company, or industry body.
The publication produces editorial reports, documentary coverage, and analytical material about observable park design — what can be seen, heard, and documented by visiting a park as a guest and examining it with editorial intent. We do not have access to proprietary park documentation, internal budgets, or design briefs, and we do not claim to.
What we publish
Our editorial coverage falls within the cluster of European theme parks, with a specific focus on park storytelling, theming, and immersive land design. We examine the design decisions that shape the guest experience — zone sequencing, sensory layering, architectural referencing, seasonal programming, queue environment design — and we document these as subjects of independent editorial interest.
We do not publish consumer recommendations, star ratings, ticket purchasing advice, or commercial content of any kind. We do not accept advertising or sponsored content. Our materials are editorial and informational.
Our editorial approach
Our reporting follows the principles set out in our Editorial Policy. Materials are based on observable facts and documented sources. We do not invent statistics, quote unnamed proprietary sources, or fabricate quotations. Where exact data is unavailable, we use neutral wording rather than estimated figures.
We are not a review site, a fan site, or a commercial directory. We are an independent documentary editorial project applying the conventions of editorial journalism to a leisure and design subject.
Independence and limits
Storyland Field is independent. It has no commercial relationships with theme parks, entertainment companies, or industry associations. We do not receive hospitality, press access, or payments from any subject of our coverage. Our independence is structural: we have no commercial interest that could be served by favouring any particular park or operator.
This also means our access is limited. We visit parks as ordinary guests. We do not conduct press interviews, obtain exclusive material, or commission primary research. Our editorial model is documentary: observe, document, and analyse what is publicly available and observable.
